Samples

  • Sample Shipping

    Please email to request samples. If you’re only ordering samples, they will safely ship in a small flat rate padded envelope or box. For samples ordered with palletized freight orders we will pack your samples on top of the pallet beneath shrinkwrap.

  • Sample Size

    Please email to request samples. Samples are 1lb. This should give you several chances to roast and evaluate the coffee before deciding on a larger order.

  • Samples and Availability

    Please email to request samples. Samples are no longer available once a coffee’s stock has dropped below a threshold of 5 bags (500 lbs). That being said, we can’t always predict when a rush of orders will come in and wipe out availability of any particular coffee. We do our best to make sure our sample availability correctly reflects our current green coffee inventory, but please keep in mind a coffee may sell out before you have a had a chance to decide on it. You are always welcome to email us regarding coffee inventory before you order samples.

  • Samples and Home Roasters

    Sorry, the samples are for our wholesale customers to try coffees before committing to larger amounts. If you're a home roaster you can order from Sweet Maria's Coffee.

Ordering

  • Packaging

    Focusing on selling to small and medium-sized roasting businesses, we sell unroasted green coffee in 50 pound GrainPro lined boxes for UPS shipment and/or 100 pound GrainPro lined polypropylene bags palletized for freight shipment. We list both the per-pound pricing and the per-package pricing on each coffee's product page. Our coffee is packed at origin in Grain-Pro lined jute bags and we ship it to you in Grain-Pro lined white woven polypropylene logo bags. Think of the reuse possiblities!

  • Ordering

    Our goal is to make access to great quality green coffee as easy as an online shopping cart. To place an order add items to your cart and proceed to check out.

  • Payment

    We accept credit cards through our secure shopping cart. For orders over $4000, we require a check or bank transfer. We offer terms upon credit approval for customers with an ordering history of 3 or more completed orders who would like to place large orders ($4000+). If you are interested in terms please contact info@coffeeshrub.com.

  • Hours

    We are open Monday-Friday 12-5pm for will-call orders. Unfortunately we cannot process walk-in orders, but you are welcome to place your order online for pick up the next business day. We are closed the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day May 30, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve.

  • Order changes

    If you need to make a change to your order please email us as soon as possible. We prep our freight orders as quickly as possible, even if we are waiting on a payment prior to shipping. Because of this, there is a fee for changing the coffee you have ordered once we have prepped your pallet.

Shipping

  • UPS Shipping Information

    We ship orders Monday-Friday. There is a 1-3 business day turn-around for processing and shipping orders.

    UPS is unable to ship to a PO BOX, so please provide a street address.

    You can receive a UPS quote by adding items to a cart, we extend our UPS rates to you.

    Ship using your UPS account number as well - choose "Use your UPS shipping account" from the shipping menu and add your UPS account number in the comment field.

    Full bag orders have a four bag minimum and must ship freight.

    We welcome international customers, but we only ship to a limited number of countries; if your country isn't listed in our shopping cart we do not ship there. We may need to confirm your identity and address before shipment. We pass along our UPS discount to our international customers as well, as shown in the prices quoted upon checkout. Shipments to some countries, like Japan, Australia and South Korea, require other permits and inspections so we may contact you for permits prior to shipment.

  • Freight Shipping

    We offer competitive rates to ship pallets anywhere.

    Shipping is available to US or Canada. We can arrange the shipment with our carriers or you can choose to arrange it yourself at checkout. If you are in Asia, Europe, or Australia we will be happy to work with your freight forwarder, but we do not arrange international freight.

    Minimum amount that can ship freight is 400 lbs. Maximum is 1,500 lbs. per pallet. You can mix as many different coffees on one pallet as you want.

    No forklift? No problem. By default we will arrange a “lift gate delivery,” if you do not need a lift gate delivery, send us an order comment.

    Each pallet has a fee of $30 to cover the pallet cost, labor and strapping/wrapping the coffee.

    Pallets are prepared with a cardboard sheet underneath to protect the coffee bags from puncture, strapped with heavy duty polypropylene strapping, and wrapped with plastic film to protect the shipment. We pride ourselves on creating secure pallets that will not be damaged during transit.

    Shipments are booked via reputable carriers that we have carefully vetted and established relationships with to provide quick delivery times and the lowest rates possible.

    If you have chosen to arrange your own freight shipping, we will email you with the pick up time and dimensions. All we need from your carrier is the BOL or (Bill of Lading). Please note that we will hold coffees for up to 5 business days while you arrange shipping. Orders that have not shipped within this time will be cancelled.

    Please allow a few days for us to put carefully put together your freight order. After pick up we will forward you your PRO number so you can track your shipment.

    Freight charges will be added to your invoice once we have secured the best rate.

    When you receive your pallet be sure to inspect the bags and the pallet for any damage while the driver is still there. We have very few damaged pallets, but it's difficult to successfully file a damage claim if the pallet is signed for before the damaged is noted.

  • International Shipments

    Please note that we only ship to a limited number of countries. If your country is not listed in our shopping cart, we do not ship there. We ship orders under 400lbs UPS Worldwide Expedited. We also ship pallets to numerous international locations. If you are located outside the US or Canada, we request that you arrange your own freight. It is important for you to know your local import laws, or work with a broker that does. We can hold your order for up to 2 weeks while you arrange your shipping.
