Visiting Portland and Brew Battle fun

I'm roasting up a bunch of samples to take with me to Portland tomorrow. It will be some random coffees, but a fun cupping for sure. If anyone in Portland is open to hosting on Thursday morning, I'd love to swing by and set these up. I'm going to be in town for some Roasters Guild meetings and also I'm super excited about the Brew Battle that's going down on Thursday night at Sustainable Harvest: http://tinyurl.com/5u2wmgs.

Practices make pretty good, plus the return of SDBV and coming attractions!

We are happy to add the amazing Guatemala Finca San Diego Buena Vista Bourbon to the offerings list today.

This is a classic coffee from Acatenango that is very versatile. Wonderful as a Single Origin espresso, this lot works well all across the medium roast spectrum. Also, keep an eye out for an excellent new Panama lot we'll be adding soon, along with some other great El Salvador and Kenya lots.

Oh so Clever

Hey Shrub,
Here is a video of Tom demonstrating Clever technique. We thought that it might be helpful to share with you.

Whatever's Clever

We are happy to announce that the Clever Coffee Dripper has arrived and is available for purchase and shipment. For those unfamiliar with this brewing device, it is a simple filtercone but with a stopper which allows your coffee to steep as in a Press Pot, and then drains when the dripper is placed on whatever you are brewing into. This brewing method gives you all of the control of traditional pour-over methods plus control over steeping times.
